The running condition is more important than age. The year it was produced does not matter. Most forklifts are durable and stand the test of time.


Can you put pneumatic tires on a cushion/solid tire forklift?

No – the wheel opening on a cushion tire forklift will not accept a pneumatic tire.

Buy a pneumatic or solid pneumatic tire forklift for outdoor applications and buy a cushion/solid tire forklift for indoor/warehouse applications.


 Are diesel engines efficient?

Yes, very efficient when compared to propane and gasoline. They are fuel efficient and require less maintenance than propane and gas forklifts.

8-12 hours depending on the application.

An average 35lb propane cylinder holds approx 7 gallons of fuel.

Gasoline is cheaper because it is more readily available, but propane is more popular.
